The CU Scoop - Encrypt America (Ep. 13)
Thanks for checking out this episode of BanktasticTV’s “The CU Scoop” featuring Mark McSpadden. Here are some important notes about this episode:
PGP to Offer Mac Whole Disk Encryption
Mark recently found an article talking about PGP Corporation’s announcement of whole disk encryption for Mac OS X. Previously, Mac laptops weren’t able to be completely locked down, but the problem has been solved!
Many credit unions out there are primarily using Macs, and with laptops quickly replacing desktops, this new encryption from PGP is going to be a huge help. To find out more about Whole Disk Encryption, click here.
Young & Free Coming to the US!
Common Wealth Credit Union’s Young & Free Alberta campaign is coming to the United States! If you’ve not heard about the Y&F campaign, you have a lot of awesome catching up to do.
Common Wealth is bringing the Young & Free campaign (banking for 25 and under) to one lucky credit union in each state. They will help the chosen credit unions organize and implement this groundbreaking campaign right at home. This is a huge opportunity to appeal to the youth in your area and get them to join your credit union. Wanna give it a shot? Click here to get the low-down on how to make your credit union “Young & Free.”

The news about Y&F coming to the states is awesome. I’ve got to go dig in to Currency’s site to learn more.
Also, would you guys consider adding a link to the main Banktastic site in the sidebar of the blog? After watching the show each week I’m ready to jump right over to Banktastic but there’s not an easy link available on the blog. I usually have to pop up to the URL bar and type it in. It’d be much easier to click a link.

Well put Mark. I love the wrestling match idea! We’ll make sure to film these.
Thanks for helping get the Young & Free word out. We are really psyched. I’ve been consuming popular culture from the south for my entire life, it seems only fair that we should be able to export a little coolness from the north!

@Mike: Glad we could bring you some fresh content! We’ll look into how to easily get people from the videos to the Banktastic site. Thanks for the feedback!
@Tim: Glad we could help spread the word! (And just for clarification, I’d prefer drawn stick figure renditions over actual wrestling video!)
