Time Banks
Brad was very interested in an article that Banktastic’s own Community Manager Lisa Randolph posted this week about Time Banking. It’s a great service created to change society through giving and getting. Check out their website for more details and to learn how to get involved. I think coffee mugs with the Banktastic B on them would be really cool. Also, I’d suggest colored shirts with the logo done in white.

Thanks for selecting FindABetterBank as your website of the week. We really appreciate it. We’re also pleased that you appreciated the simplicity of our tool (our corporate name is Facilitas which means “easy” in Latin).
If you’re keeping score on schwag stuff — baseball caps are always my favorite (perhaps because I’m folicly-challenged).

Mike - I like the coffee mug idea. Classic ideas are always good to me.
Rob - I’m glad we featured FindaBetterBank.com. It’s a really innovative idea, and I bet a LOT of people I know would love to try it out. I’ll be sure to spread the word to my friends. Really cool to learn about your company name, too. I took several years of Latin in high school. Too bad I don’t remember a bit of it.

Hats and mugs are are good ideas. And maybe since I have created such a craving for the coffee it just makes sense.
Thank you guys for your comments and watching! I’m humbled to have anyone appreciate what we’re trying to do. You guys rock!

I would like to just have some banktastic business cards that have a brief explanation of what banktastic is… and a place where you(whoever is handing them out) can write your name in. I know just the few people I have talked to at these conferences I have been to lately have been interested in banktastic and I think that it would make getting them to the site a lot easier.

@JB - That’s a genius idea brother. Let me talk with our developers and see what we can do to help out.
I’ll get back to you on it. What else do people want? Keep the comments coming!

Is there such a thing as blackberry skins - white with the B logo on it? (just got my first blackberry so still a newbie; do people even put skins on b’s?)
and now for something completely differerent:
@rob @lisa
3 years of latin: how ’bout a “Bankers who took Latin” community site? (then we’d totally confirm the nerdiness of banking) (kidding of course)

@Nancy - I’ve never known the “luxury” of using a Blackberry, so I wouldn’t know. But I’m sure there’s something like that. Interesting idea as at least one of the Banktastics uses a Blackberry.
And a Latin group would be awesome. We could talk to each other in a dead language!

I’m gonna second what JB said. Cards would be nice to hand out at other industry events. I got a nice stack from the guys over at SpiceWorks to help promote their product and its been helpful for a few people.
