@Michael - Happy to promote sites that are pushing the envelope. It's a really great concept. Let's make a point to connect up sometime!

@Mike T. - LOL! Yeah, we are posting it in my father's office and he's got all this crazy junk around and we said lets do something fun. The poor fishy in the middle was in a bad situation!

Mike,

Ah, there it is. The first question about the ducks. Honestly, there's nothing to them. We just saw them when we entered the room, and to the center of the frame they went. And then there was that random fish, and we just couldn't leave him out. No secret message to it, no mystery to solve. Just some ducks. :)

What was with all of the ducks on the table during this video? I was waiting for Brad to do something with them or at least talk about them, but alas the ducks just sat on the table. It almost looks like a game of wilderness chess. :)

Brad, thank you so much for the "Website of the Week" recognition! We are truly excited about the launch of SmartyPig. As you mentioned, there is certainly an educational aspect with kids. And we see so many more ways to use SmartyPig. For example, I am using it to save up for a trip to Italy for me and my wife and my business partner is using it to save up for a washer and dryer. A corporative executive told us he wants to use SmartyPig so that his kids who cannot afford the expensive triathlon road bike he wants, can give him birthday and Christmas presents in the form of public contributions toward that goal. And a business owner, who wants to instill the value of savings in her employees, is going to hand out $100 SmartyPig Gift Cards. SmartyPig truly is for anyone who wants to get back to that piggy bank mentality of saving now and paying later. Thanks again for the mention on your blog. Enjoy SXSW! Mike Ferrari, SmartyPig.

I've been hearing a lot about RDC and scanning checks, but didn't catch this story about depositing via mobile phone until today. It's definitely a great extension of RDC and makes the process even more accessible, since all you need is a phone with a camera and an Internet connection, instead of requiring you to actually own or have access to a scanner.

Josh, we really appreciate that feedback. We're definitely trying to make a difference in the industry. Plus, it's kind of fun. :)
